C4T #1

I read the Blog Paula White posted about testing writing skills on the computer. I highly disagree with the method because I think we are depending way to much on technology and not on handwriting skills. I know if I have to write something it takes me a little longer because you are actually reading what you are writing. Giving a writing test on the computer just seems wrong and lazy. The person that thought that genius idea up does not want to grade grammatically errors or try and figure out what the person is writing because the handwriting is not legible.

Paula White only has not posted a new blog since the last one I read and commented on so I chose to read her posting before that one. She went and celebrated a students wedding festivte during the holidays and was like family because she taught the bride and her brother and kept in touch with the family. People she had never met heard about her because the bride would tell stories about her. The people instantly knew who she was and congratulated her on being the person that mentored the bride and made her the person she was today. After reading that I only hope to be able to inspire a student like she did. I want my students to remember how "awesome of a teacher I was" because I didn't have an experiences like that. The only thing I got close to was high school my old band instructor.
